Intro to Being a Foodie

Here it is, the moment that almost nobody has been waiting for. My homage to the love affair with that which will caress my taste buds...the overdone food blog. Cynicism and sarcasm reign here with a cast iron skillet. (is it already obvious?)
Let me start by saying I don't hate Julia Child. She was accomplished, studied and committed to her goals. What is positively detestful was the by the book, copy and paste method of cooking. What she had in drive, she severly lacked in creativity. That horrid, lack luster movie was about as imaginative as her cooking. Suffice it to say, I am not a fan.
What right do I have to speak my mind on such topics, you ask. I eat. It's as simple as that. I know what I like, what tastes good to me. Better yet, I don't just cook, I create. It's almost maddening to anyone who knows me - posting food questions and menus almost daily, the MC taking pictures of all my culinary whimsy in it's entirety, the dinners, the whiffs of deliciousness wafting from my desk at work.
My method is matching tastes and textures, unusual with traditional, adding flamboyance to the ordinary. It starts as a simple statement and unfurls into a whirlwind of whimsy, following the stream of conscious cooking wherever it leads. Some may be satisfied with just producing what's written, I want more, crave more. I want love, logic, muse, obsession and flair to meld into something fantastic that I can call my own. There will be no recipes here...only guidelines and approximations. If I don't use a recipe (for anything) I won't confine you to it's rusty shackles either.
Let us enjoy together and hopefully my abrasive wit won't turn too many stomachs.
